While looking through the old family albums dating from before WW2, I noticed quite a few car pictures. It seems nothing changes when it comes to showing off your toys. Here’s a sample for your enjoyment. Feel free to help identifying any makes/models.

Doug’s Aston has nothing on this in the snow.

Your great grandfather was in Korea before WWII? So were one of mine and the grandfather on the other side. In fact, my mom’s mom attended the PYFS (Pyongyang Foreign School) as a kid.

No way, same here. My grandmother taught at PYFS until Japan invaded and chased them into China. My grandmother was born and raised at the missionary compound in ChaiRyung. Their last name was Hunt.

Most of my family were in the southwest (Suncheon, Sachon, Yosu sorts of area), but there were some connections North before the war. I’ll have to ask my mom if her mom and dad knew the Hunts - near 100% chance. Her side were the Cummings and Prestons, and my dad’s side is Bells and Lintons.

I am related to the Cummings and my mom would probably know the other names. Do you know Cal and Edie?

Not ringing a bell, unfortunately. My mom’s dad was Daniel James Cumming, but I don’t remember Dr. Preston’s (my mom’s granddad) first name or DJC’s father’s name off the top of my head. My dad’s great-grandfather was Eugene Bell.

Those are awesome. I always look for pictures like these at flea markets and such. I have a Tumblr with a bunch of them. That could be an Alvis emblem on the 4th one down.

Number 4 appears to be a Saxon.

5 is a Ford model T, 1914 or earlier, number 10 is a later model T, 1917-1922.
